Our mission was to rescue and preserve the queer history of Puerto Ricans and make sure those stories were never lost. We did exactly that. The Pato Project Historias LGBTQIA+ Boricuas Collection has been donated to the Center for Puerto Rican Studies at Hunter College (CUNY), where it will be preserved, studied, and celebrated for generations to come.
The archive is safe. The stories are saved.
The ongoing work of collecting new stories, building community, and expanding that legacy continues with The Generations Project — our closest partner from the beginning, sharing our values and our commitment to LGBTQ+ history.

The Pato Project Historias LGBTQIA+ Boricuas Collection is now permanently housed at the Center for Puerto Rican Studies at Hunter College (CUNY) — one of the most prestigious institutions for Puerto Rican history and culture in the United States. The collection is preserved, cataloged, and available to academics, students, researchers, and the broader community. Queer Puerto Rican history now has a permanent home.
